Project / Contribution (2023–2025): Innovative Regenerative Strategies for Endometrial Restoration in Infertility
Award Category: Research & Scientific Development
For those who have published relevant studies, papers, or articles in the field of aesthetic and regenerative gynecology.

Infertility is often the result of structural or functional damage to the endometrium, such as chronic endometritis, Asherman’s syndrome, or endometrial thinning after surgical procedures. These pathologies can compromise endometrial receptivity and embryo implantation, limiting the success of assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

Regenerative medicine offers a new perspective in the treatment of these conditions through the use of autologous therapies (e.g., PRP – Platelet-Rich Plasma) to stimulate tissue regeneration, restore local vascularization, and re-establish the functional integrity of the endometrium.

Project Objectives

  • To evaluate the clinical and histological effectiveness of intrauterine PRP therapy in regenerating damaged endometrial tissue.

  • To compare the outcomes of autologous PRP with other regenerative methods (e.g., mesenchymal stem cells or injectable biomaterials) in infertility associated with endometrial lesions.

  • To establish standardized protocols for PRP administration (dosage, frequency, technique) for clinical use in regenerative gynecology.

  • To correlate endometrial regeneration with molecular markers of endometrial receptivity.

Innovation and Impact

This project is pioneering in Romania by systematically and scientifically documenting endometrial regenerative therapy.

Expected Results

  • Demonstration of PRP treatment efficacy in improving endometrial receptivity.

  • Validation of standardized, clinically applicable protocols.

  • Opening the path for the integration of regenerative medicine into ART treatment protocols.
